The visual designer is the core of Ornamental Designer Pro. Here's how the interface works.

The designer is split into two main areas:
The first thing you'll do is select a panel type. This determines which configuration options are available. The six panel types are:
The config panel is organized into sections that start collapsed. Each section expands when you fill it out. The available sections depend on your panel type, but the common ones include:
Use the + and − buttons above the preview to zoom in and out. The percentage shown is relative to the default zoom for your panel type.
Toggle the Show Dimensions switch in the config panel to overlay dimension annotations directly on the preview. This gives you a quick reference for overall width, height, post-to-post measurements, and picket spacing.
For full annotation control (adding custom dimensions, arrows, text, and spec blocks), use the dedicated Annotation Tool.
Click the Save button at the top of the designer to save your work. You'll be prompted to enter:
Use Save As to create a copy of an existing design under a new name.
After saving your design, click the Export button on the design card (from the dashboard) to open the dedicated export page. The export page offers several download options:
Available formats are PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG, and DXF. You can also download everything at once with the Download All button.
You can add multiple panels to a single project using the panel tabs at the top of the designer. Each panel has its own independent configuration — so you can combine a swing gate with fence panels, for example.
