How It Works

Describe Your Design

Type a description of the gate you want. Be as detailed or as general as you like. Examples:

Review the Generated Design

The AI generates a full gate configuration and shows a live preview. Review the design to see if it matches your vision.

Refine with Conversation

Ask the AI to make changes. You can request modifications in natural language:

  • "Make it taller"
  • "Change to a peaked top instead of arched"
  • "Add a mid-rail and twisted pickets"
  • "Remove the spear points and add ball caps to the posts"

Each response updates the gate configuration and preview in real time.

Save to Dashboard

When you're happy with the design, click Save to add it to your dashboard. From there you can open it in the visual designer for further fine-tuning, annotate it, generate a material list, or export it.

Tips for Better Results

  • Be specific about dimensions — include width, height, and tube sizes if you know them
  • Mention the gate type — swing, slide, fence panel, or handrail
  • Describe decorative elements — spear styles, arches, twisted pickets, finials
  • Iterate — start with a basic description and refine step by step
  • Open in the visual editor after a few revisions — AI gets you most of the way there; open the design in the visual designer for fine-tuning before saving
