Custom Scrollwork, Drawn Right in the Designer

Shape custom C-scrolls, S-scrolls, and spirals with simple parametric controls and drop them straight onto your gate, fence, or handrail. No DXF, no hand-tracing — just clean, mathematically uniform scrolls you can tune until they're right.

The in-designer scrollwork editor — shaping S-scrolls to place on a gate

It lives inside the designer. Open the Components panel, choose Scrollwork, and click Add Custom Scrollwork — the scroll editor opens right on your gate. Every scroll you build is placed on that drawing — there's no separate tool to learn and nothing to import back in.

C-Scroll

A single sweeping curve with a curl at each end. Tune the body length and depth, then shape the start and end curls.

S-Scroll

Opposing top and bottom curls for the classic S shape. Set the body length and dial each curl independently.

Spiral

A volute/spiral end with a straight tail. Control the spiral size, tightness, number of turns, and the tail bend.

Parametric, not hand-drawn

Shape each scroll with sliders — body length and depth, curl size, spiral tightness and turns. The result is a clean, uniform scroll every time, no freehand bezier wrangling.

Real material, real size

Set the bar thickness and profile — round, square, or flat bar — so the scroll renders the way it will actually be forged and sits at the right scale on the drawing.

Place it like any component

Position the scroll on the panel, mirror it, and duplicate it across the gate. On arched and peaked tops it can follow the profile and auto-rotate so a row of scrolls flows with the curve.

Trace a reference, export a DXF

Drop in a reference image to match a shape by eye, then download the finished scroll as a DXF for your scroll bender or plasma table.

How It Works

1

Open the editor

In the designer, open Components → Scrollwork and click Add Custom Scrollwork to open the scroll editor on your design.

2

Shape your scroll

Add a C-scroll, S-scroll, or spiral and tune the curves and material until it looks right.

3

Place & reuse

Drop it on the gate, duplicate it across the panel, and head back to the designer to keep building.

Need a specific manufacturer's scroll?

Some jobs call for an exact catalog scroll, not a custom one. Send us the supplier and part number and our team draws a clean, true-to-size representation and adds it straight to your library — ready to drop on any drawing alongside the curated catalog. We add new scrolls and components on request, usually within a few days.
